By downloading, installing, or using LabForge ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App. These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and LabForge.

1. Description of Service

LabForge is an iOS application that uses artificial intelligence to generate personalized homelab hardware configurations. The App provides hardware recommendations, estimated pricing, and setup instructions based on your selected preferences.

2. User Accounts

To access the App's features, you must create an account via email registration or Sign in with Apple. You agree to:

  • Provide accurate and complete information
  • Maintain the security of your account credentials
  • Accept responsibility for all activities under your account
  • Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use
  • Be at least 13 years of age to use the App

3. Subscriptions and Payments

LabForge offers the following auto-renewable subscription plans, billed through the Apple App Store:

  • Free Tier: 1 AI-generated configuration per day at no cost
  • LabForge Pro Monthly ($4.99/month): 10 AI-generated configurations per day, custom parameters, detailed setup instructions, export capabilities, and advanced features
  • LabForge Pro Annual ($29.99/year): All Pro features at a reduced annual rate

Auto-Renewable Subscription Terms:

  • Payment will be charged to your Apple ID account at the confirmation of purchase
  • Subscription automatically renews unless it is canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period
  • Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period
  • You can manage and cancel your subscriptions by going to your account settings on the App Store after purchase
  • Any unused portion of a free trial period, if offered, will be forfeited when you purchase a subscription
  • Refunds are subject to Apple's refund policy
  • Prices are in USD and may vary by region. We reserve the right to change subscription pricing with reasonable notice.

4. AI-Generated Content Disclaimer

Lab configurations are generated using Claude, a large language model by Anthropic. You acknowledge and agree that:

  • All configurations are AI-generated suggestions, not professional engineering advice or recommendations
  • Hardware prices displayed are estimates based on AI training data and may not reflect current market prices
  • You must independently verify all hardware specifications, compatibility, and pricing before making any purchase decisions
  • LabForge is not responsible for hardware incompatibility, incorrect specifications, or pricing discrepancies
  • AI-generated content is not reviewed by humans before being displayed
  • We may update the AI model used without notice to improve service quality
  • Generated configurations should not be relied upon as the sole basis for purchasing decisions

5. Affiliate Links & Amazon Associates

LabForge participates in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for apps to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.com.

  • When you tap a product link within the App and make a purchase on Amazon, LabForge may earn a small commission at no additional cost to you
  • Product recommendations are AI-generated and are not influenced by our affiliate relationship
  • Prices displayed in the App are estimates; actual prices on Amazon may vary and are determined solely by Amazon
  • Affiliate links are disclosed within the App near product listings
  • You may choose not to use the affiliate links without affecting your use of the App

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the App for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws
  • Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or extract the source code or AI models
  • Resell, redistribute, or commercially exploit generated configurations without permission
  • Transmit harmful code, malware, or interfere with the App's operation
  • Impersonate others or provide false account information
  • Attempt to bypass rate limits, authentication, or security measures
  • Use automated tools or scripts to access the App or its API

7. Account Deletion

You may delete your account at any time from the Profile screen within the App. Account deletion permanently removes your user profile, saved favorites, generation history, and configuration data from our servers. Active subscriptions must be canceled separately through your Apple ID account settings, as LabForge cannot cancel App Store subscriptions on your behalf.

8. Intellectual Property

The App, its original content, features, functionality, and design are owned by LabForge and are protected by international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You retain ownership of any custom parameters or inputs you provide. You grant LabForge a limited license to use your inputs solely to provide the App's services.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, LabForge, its owners, employees, and partners shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including without limitation, loss of profits, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from your use of the App, reliance on AI-generated content, or hardware purchasing decisions made based on the App's recommendations.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

The App and all content are provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis. We make no warranties, expressed or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy of AI-generated content, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that AI-generated configurations will be accurate, complete, or suitable for any particular purpose.

11. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account immediately, without prior notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users, us, or third parties. Upon termination, your right to use the App ceases immediately.

12. Privacy

Your use of the App is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your information.

13. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of material changes by posting the updated Terms in the App and updating the "Last Updated" date. Your continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

14. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be resolved in the courts located in Texas.
